At around 18:45 this evening our Reaction Officers were on patrol this evening in Linden when one of our residents flagged him down to report a vehicle theft of a Toyota Corolla in progress.
Our Reaction Officer spotted the vehicle and the suspects vehicle and gave chase.
The chase pursued all the way into Greenside where the suspects abandoned their getaway vehicle and fled on foot.
Our Reaction Officer immediately contacted our control room and advised that the suspects left their getaway vehicle behind.
SAPS was notified and arrived on scene within minutes, standing down with our Reaction Officer and Senior Commander.
