At around 12:05, we received an alert of a stolen Suzuki Motorbike at the Masjid-ur-Rahmah Mosque in Emmarentia.
Our officer already had eyes on it when the report was given and a pursuit for the suspect was underway. We immediately dispatched back-up vehicles to assist with cornering the suspect.
After a long chase with the suspect, we managed to corner the suspect at the intersection of 1st Ave & Beyers Naude Drive in Melville. The suspect ran into one of the buildings nearby, however the officers' managed to catch him.
We're very pleased with the results of the outcome on this incident which Just motivates us even more!
